How to scan documents into PDF with your iPhone
Chances are you at least somewhat frequently need to backup some important documents like invoices or receipts. If you have an iPhone you can use the built-in Notes app which allows document scanning.
That is what I have been using but if you are also using Notes for other stuff these scanned documents can quickly get lost if you are not careful with organization. Truth be told Notes are not that optimized for dealing with scanned documents.
The other option is to use free app Scan it which I built for exactly this purpose. It is designed to be super fast at scanning documents. There is also search available to quickly find already scanned items and everything can be quickly exported. Just swipe to the right on the main list and you can copy or share the item.
What other cool features Scan it offers? For example there is an option to create PDF from scanned documents which can also then be shared. All your scanned documents are securely backed up in your iCloud Drive. Just look for the “Scan it” folder.
Scan it is super small, fast app for scanning without any ads to distract you from backing up your documents.
